What healthclub/fitness center should one join in the Bellevue Washington area?

Wednesday, July 29th, 2009

We are considering a move to the Seattle/Bellevue, Washington area. We are currently Lifetime Fitness Center members and are looking for a club that offers the same amenities. I see "24 Hour Fitness" but was wondering if that was the best fit.

Do you know the difference between health care and health care coverage?

Wednesday, July 29th, 2009

I see a lot of posts on here saying that we have the best health care in the world and the evidence is that people come here from other countries to get care. I agree that we have the best health CARE in the world.

What is being discussed is health care coverage, not health care. That is, the way health care is paid for.

Do you understand the difference?

Yes. If you have unlimited resources as an American you have the best health care in the world. If you are an ordinary citizen you simply don’t. Even the average health care plan generally does not cover the basics like European systems do. All too often Americans find out just how under insured they are when sickness strikes.

http://www.commonwealthfund.org/Content/Publications/In-the-Literature/2008/Jun/How-Many-Are-Underinsured–Trends-Among-U-S–Adults–2003-and-2007.aspx

That’s important because when those people are lucky enough to stay healthy they will never see a problem whatsoever just as their fellow countrymen were just fine with their coverage before tradgedy happened.

This is the same thing as with the standard of living. Americans have a higher income on average than Americans but more detailed data shows it’s the top 1 percent income earners that’s responsible for the whole difference. Middle clas an poor Americans are much worse of than their European counterparts

That’s ultimately what it is about

What supplement can I take before or after a workout to build muscle and strengh?

Wednesday, July 29th, 2009

I am 17 and exercise regulary (mostly benching and treadmill). I am looking to take a supplement that can help me build muscle and strengh faster. I heard about whey protein and creatine but was wondering if they are safe. Any ideas/suggestions?

Just have whey protein post-workout.

It’s the protein extracted from milk minus the fat.

Whole milk is horrible for the body. It is meant to turn a baby cow into a big cow.

That is why females only produce enough milk for the first year.

Building muscle isn’t really healthy to begin with…so.

Why?

Because you raise your cholesterol out of the roof to maintain them. You have to eat more than your body needs to maintain them as well.

What is the nutrition valut of flat leaf parsley compared to curly leaf parsley?

Wednesday, July 29th, 2009

Everyone says flat leaf parsley taste better and some say, because it taste better it probably has more nutritional value. So does it have more nutrition value or not. Taste is good. However I am more interested in the nutritional value.

According to the nutrition almanac there is no difference in calories between the two types.

1 cup chopped, 60 grams = 26 calories.

How could a 6 foot tall male get legally administered HGH?

Wednesday, July 29th, 2009

It’s my understanding that HGH has many other health benefits than just height increase. It also my understanding that one does not have to be gh deficient to receive it, the patient only needs to be short as minimum requirement. I also understand that one can not grow any taller from HGH if the growth plates are closed. That being said, without respect to height increase, what are some of the other positive benefits from using HGH?

probaly the person has underdeveloped organs…

What level of fitness is required before you start taking Tai Kwan Do?

Thursday, July 23rd, 2009

I’m just begining to get in shape, and I’ve got a long way to go. How in shape do you have to be to be able to keep up in a beginner’s Tai Kwan Do class? What fitness "landmarks" should I be able to reach to be successful?

Note: It’s spelt Tae Kwon Do. (The guy who reposted first claiming to be a black belt should have noticed that).

You don’t have to be of any particular standard to start TKD. The training will make you fit. The more you train, the fitter you get. It’s all about going at your own pace and reaching your own goals, not someone elses.

Go to the frequentlly asked questions part at www.tagb.biz if you have any questions. If in doubt, speak to your local TKD instructor.
