What health care coverage does a congressman have? What happens to it when they leave office?

Thursday, July 23rd, 2009

America faces a health care crisis. How can Congress or the Senate much care if they have top notch health care coverage and the taxpayers pay for it?

They have a 100 percent covered plan for them and their families for life (assuming they serve at least 6 years), along with an excellent pension plan for life.

They will care about the crisis if it is something the voters want! After all, if they are not acting in the interest of the voters, they will lose their seat and their health care plan.

Unfortunately, there is so much disagreement between the "left" and the "right" that it is difficult for congress to do anything. In addition, many people (even those who truly need health care reforms) vote based on moral values, leaving health care to be ignored.

How long should my supplement answer for Boston University be?

Thursday, July 23rd, 2009

I am applying to Boston University and just want to know how many words the supplement "essay" should be. Also i was wondering if this amount of words should be the same for all colleges’ supplement "essays".

Well when I applied to BU last year my supplemental essay was 224 words.
And I was accepted.
The question that year was
"We would like to know, in 500 words or less, what experiences have led you to select your professional field and objective?"

And it said right in the supplement in 500 words or less.

if you want to see what i wrote you can if you want

What job combines nutrition and human anatomy/physiology without working with people?

Thursday, July 23rd, 2009

I am interested in these topics but I don’t know how I would apply them to a career. All careers that involve these areas are usually for a fitness trainer or nutrition consultant. What other careers are there? I just want to get out of office work.

Maybe you could work with FDA as a lab tech.

What is the safest way to take hGH in sport?

Thursday, July 23rd, 2009

Please don’t say anything about just leaving it and doing it the right way. I have thought about it! I use to be a incredibly athletic but due to a recent illness i have lost all my muscle mass. Now i have recovered i want to get back to the level i was playing at.
What is the safest way to get/take hGH?
Are the side effects only prevelant in excessive use?

Uh? Under medical supervision?

HGH costs in the thousands to tens of thousands of dollars of growth. It’s only produced as a recombinant hormone from a few biotech companies and is ferociously expensive to manufacture and purify. MOreover, it can only be administered by injection.

It probably will not substantially contribute to any significant gains in muscle mass – you’ll have to work on those yourself. Moreover, if you’re under the age of twenty or so, it will accelerate the closure of your bone growth plates, resulting in decreased maximum height, and it puts you at serious risk for developing a wide variety of cancers.

Yes, these are issues at therapeutic dosing. There’s a damned good reason why this stuff only comes out of the medicine cabinet for the most severe of endocrine dysfunction.

What is a good fitness dvd for loosing weight?

Wednesday, July 15th, 2009

I want to loose about 20 pounds in 1 month. I am very lazy and I would like to get a fitness dvd that is helpful but you don’t have to work as hard. Unlike the Jillian Michael’s dvd. Thankyou very much.

pretty much if you want to lose weight and do it the healthy way, you can’t be lazy. i know its hard to start getting motivated, but what kinds of things have you tried? and why cant you get motivated?
things that help motivated are working out with a friend, switching up your exercises and workout programs and activities so it doesnt get monotonous and boring.
i always try to get my friend to go running with me and he’s so lazy! but he hates it because it’s not fun and its boring. so, he happens to LOVE racquetball, so we play that for up to 3 hours some days.
dont feel bad about not wanting to bust you ass for hours a day because most people dont want to do that.
but you really are going to have to challenge yourself a little if you want to lose weight. make it fun and be creative and hopefully that will help.
like the person above, Jillian Michaels is GREAT!!! her stuff is definitely hard but do it with someone else. her dvd "30 day shred" is awesome. its only 20 minutes long but its hard and definitely pays off. also, tae bo is great too. if you like dancing, find a dancing dvd that will burn calories. good luck and hopefully this helps.

I just noticed that not drinking alot of water for the longest time since I can remember has been damaging my health. I think this is why I have so little energy

I plan to start drinking more water, what differences should I see in my health afterward?

What supplement can I take to reduce the clicking sound in my joints when I exercise?

Wednesday, July 15th, 2009

Sometimes when I exercise, my joints make a clicking sound. These joints range from my ankles to my knees. What could it be and what supplement should I take to correct it?
I just want a supplement to correct the clicking of my joints. I don’t want to wear out my cartilage or get an injury. Honestly, I exercise often (about 4 times a week) and eat right most of the time.
I’m also only 20 years old

The sounds in your joints are probably "crepitus." These sounds are usually benign and develop as our joints age or start to degenerate. (Even young, healthy people can develop crepitus, especially if they’ve been active or had injuries). If the sounds are accompanied by pain or "joint locking," or they follow a trauma, then it’s time to see a doctor as this could be a more serious issue such as a "loose body" in the joint itself.
There are no supplements that will stop the clicking sounds but Glucosamine Sulfate is a great supplement that helps to support the ligaments and joint tissues. It’s a little expensive but make sure to get a higher quality version with "MSM."
You might also try doing your exercise just to the point of hearing the sound and then repeat the exercise. Often crepitus occurs at our "end-range of motion." So if we do a squat, for instance, and hear the sound when our knees and hips are fully flexed. Then try to do the same motion just stop before you hear the sound and repeat.
I hope this helps. Best of luck to you!

How important is nutrition to teens? And does the prospect of health problems later in life matter now?

Wednesday, July 15th, 2009

Not many people know a lot about good nutrition. And I mean really know. Most teens aren’t even required to take a basic nutrition class in school. However, nutrition is the one thing in life that affects your whole life. Good or bad nutrition habits can affect your emotions, your your physical features including your skin, hair and bodyshape, and even how you treat others. Your nutrition habits will also have major effects on your health now and in the future. So how important is nutrition in your life?

Nutrition is hugely important in my life. Fresh fruit and veges and leane red meat. Lots of fish and turkey for protein. My body is a temple and I need to treat it right to keep my insides healthy. I also try to eat food witha high water content, water melons and so on. Fresh and natural is the key to a good inside. But if there is more I need to know please let me know.

I hope I answered you question You can tell how unhealthy you are by your bowel movements and its consitance( I know gross) but its true. As a 28 year old it is a high priority to keep in peak physical fitness. Although not a teen I still consider ymself as excited and energetic as a teen. Due to good nutrition of course:)
