What would you like to see in a fitness studio?

Wednesday, September 16th, 2009

I am designing a fitness studio and am looking for some cool idea. What are things you always missed having in one? What are your favorites in existing ones? And what would you improve?

Rowing machines. Some people look for a toned body and all muscles exercised rather than bulking up.

What health care are you entitled to if you emigrate to Cyprus?

Wednesday, September 16th, 2009

Cyprus seems to me the best bet if you are British. It has a low crime rate and English is their second language.
What happens if you get sick, or just want to see a doctor?
Is their some agreement between UK and EU countries about getting free health care or not? It’s very difficult to get information about all this.
What about over-sixtyfives? Health insurance does not pay for pre-existing conditions !

This might help, it looks as though if you’re a pensioner you get an E 121 form which gives you treatment as an EU national, that is if you’re talking about the Greek part that is in the EU

What is the best proteins supplement to take before you lift weights?

What is the best proteins supplement to take before you work out?
And is this supplement worth buying?

There are two types that are pretty good. Whey ISOLATE only and HEMP. These two types normally don’t contain SOY which create excess estrogen and keep the body from producing any kind of muscle gain. These two natural proteins are great for building muscle glycogen stores. AKG is also a good supplement if you mix it with glutamine these are amino acids that actually build protein in broken down muscle fibers.

How does the lack of nutrition labels on fast foods and restaurant menus affect the African-American community?

How does the lack of nutrition labels on fast foods and restaurant menus affect the African-American community SPECIFICALLY?

What questions do you have about obesity and African Americans?

Hello. Most fast food restaurants have their nutritional information available on the Web. But the time to look it up, the interest in doing it and the access to a computer would all be issues…

The real question is why don’t more families cook…food expense has a lot to do with it but buying fast food is actually more expensive, even if you buy the Williams 8 piece dark or McDonald’s chicken nuggets all the time….

Another issue is simply knowing how to cook and teaching your children to like cooked food.

Interestingly enough, this is becoming a problem all over the developed world, and not just with Black people. Even Japanese mothers have trouble somtimes keeping their kids away from the fast food….

People need to grow some food and herbs, cook, and eat what they cook….

This would help obesity issues, immensely. Oh and being active and making exercise a PRIORITY, the way Mrs. Obama and my family do…

Does HGH actually make you grow taller if your not deficient?

Wednesday, September 16th, 2009

I’ve searched everywhere for this answer and i haven’t been able to find it.

Does HGH actually make you grow taller if your not deficient?

Does it speed up the process so your growth plates fuse earlier?

As long as your growth plates have not yet ossified, HGH will make you taller. It doesn’t matter if you’re deficient or not.

No doctor is going to prescribe it to you, though, if that’s what you’re thinking. It’s very expensive ($20-$30K a year) and they’ll only give it to teens younger than 15 with a projected adult height of 5’3" or less for males and 4’10" and under for females.

What are the basic fitness requirements to be a Cop?

Wednesday, September 9th, 2009

When you go into the Police Academy you have to be able to pass their Fitness Test or whatever. What are some basic things you have to do in this test, and how many push ups, pull ups, and sit ups and whatever.

This will vary, but the requirements should be provided to anyone who inquires. Very, very early in my time on Yahoo Answers, I was able to find the requirements for one city on their website to answer a similar question — so if you tell me which force you are attempting to learn about, I might be able to find it.

I also had a patient who was moving across the country to join he force in a major city on the West coast, and he had hearing loss from military service. Fortunately, their guidelines were very specific, and he was actually able to meet there criteria. Of course these requirements are to for ENTRY to the academy or force — they don’t seem to perform routine fitness evaluations! LOL!

What medicare supplement has a low monthly premium and good coverage?

Wednesday, September 9th, 2009

The supplement that I now have has increased so much, and I need to find another, but am overwhelmed as to which one to use.Any advise or info would be much appreciated.

My experience is that the most popular choices are Plan F and Plan J.

While the plan prices vary the same plan can vary by price a lot as well depending on who you buy from.

Here’s a quick run down:

-Each plan is government regulated, which means plan J (for example) from company A and company B offers the exact same policies and benefits by law. Where they differ is their premium (cost to you) that company charges.

-Companies take different approaches to profit in this industry. They get paid over YEARS for signing you up as long as you’re still with them. You may find ages 64-66 a certain plan is super cheap from company A, but they jack it up after 67 once they feel they have a consumer under them that is loyal and isn’t changing companies. Other companies may charge a lot for certain plans for ages 64-68 feeling that these people are more likely to bounce around and leave them. Then they may charge low rates for the upper ages feeling they’re less likely to to move between companies and policies and the lower rates to to get them on initially.

What it comes down to is you need to price fight to find the best rates, and every year check those rates again because every year you go up in age and the price field may be completely different and you could be wasting money by not checking.

Use a price fighting site like http://www.usinsuranceonline.com/health-insurance/seniors/medicare-supplement-insurance.php to get multiple agents to give you competing rates. Any agent trying to pressure you regardless of where you go or who you talk to, tell them off as they’re not worth your time, there are many other good agents out there that will gladly help you find the best rates.

There are a lot of learning sites out there you can self educate on the topic for, but honestly, finding a few good agents that are willing to explain it all to you isn’t that hard and much easier to comprehend through Q&A rather than reading a confusing novel on it ;)

HgH!!!!!!!!!?

Sytropin spray. Does this stuff actually work?

Human growth hormone (HGH) must be injected to be effective. Furthermore, HGH is very serious stuff and should only be used in a doctor’s care. Don’t waste your money on anything you spray, swallow or rub on… it won’t work.

What are the requirements for being a fitness instructor?

Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009

I would like to be a fitness teacher. One that teaches classes at a fitness center, & not a personal trainer. But I wasnt sure if certifications were mandatiory.

In most cases your local community college will be able to answer that question. The reason for this is that every state has it’s own guidelines to be certified.
