What type of classes would I need to become a fitness instructor?

I would ultimatly like to become a prenatal fitness instructor, but I need to become a regular fitness instructor first. If I am taking college classes, what classes would I need to take for this?
So I don’t need a degree or anything? Its online certified, how much do yu usually pay to become ACE certified?

you should become ACE certified to begin with. That certifies you to beceom a personal trainer. You study on your own and set up a time to take the final exam. google it.

How does health insurance portability work?

I lost my job in December and lost health insurance. In August I will be able to get health insurance through a program at a state college I wil be attending. Is this too long of a lapse to cover pre-existing conditions? PA BTW.

The magic number, is 63 days, and that only counts when you go from one group policy to another.

So yes, preexisting conditions can be excluded once you get on this program through school.

What is a good supplement that works good for burning fat?

Right now I use diet and lots of cardio. Would like to know if there is any supplement I can use that would help give me that extra step to burn fat?

You will lose more body fat eating protein and fat (don’t eat protein alone) than not eating AT ALL. To lose weight fast eat all you want but nothing but meat, eggs, healthy oils, mayo, butter and half an avocado a day (you’ll need added potassium). Keep your fat percentage high. Adding in green vegetables & some cheese will continue weight loss but at a slower pace.

If you starve yourself, your body will freak out and will want to store every ounce in case it doesn’t get nourished again. You need to give it adequate nourishment so it doesn’t slow your metabolism down to adjust for lower calories.

Simple carbohydrates (sugar, flour, bread, cereal, pasta, potatoes, rice) triggers insulin which can store the calories you eat into fat. The more protein you eat the more the fat burning hormone glucagon is released. The more carbohydrate you eat the more the fat storage hormone insulin is released.

Carbs are addictive and can be disastrous to our health. The best way to break the addiction is NO carbs for 3 days. Make a huge batch of deviled eggs and eat one every time you want "something" have huge omelets for breakfast, with bacon, a lil onion, peppers, mushrooms & cheese. Pork chops for lunch. Get pork rinds and eat them with tuna salad. Steak for dinner. Make a huge sugar free cheese cake for dessert. Eat so much you won’t feel deprived of anything. By the fourth day, your addiction will be gone and you can start making healthy choices.

High insulin levels unbalance other hormones. Controlling your insulin level will balance out other hormones & allow human growth hormone (HGH) to be produced naturally so you will gain lean muscle even without exercise. Any exercise will greatly increase your muscle mass with high HGH levels.

Reducing body fat and increasing muscle mass will have you in awesome shape in no time. Good luck!

I am currently a junior in a dietetics program, exploring my future career options.

My passions I would like to combine into a career are general nutrition, maternal nutrition, new mother counseling, and newborn-infant nutrition.

I have thought of becoming a midwife, but that doesn’t completely encompass my interests. Also, I am not looking into becoming an obstetrician at this point.

Anyone have any insight? Suggestions? Programs that might be beneficial? Thanks!

I am working in a call center. I am in a night shift. I also drink slimming coffee and diet pills but none seems to be working. :) . I am planning to enroll in a fitness gym but I think I can only have sessions during my day-offs usually Saturday and Sunday. I also just would like to lose weight and not develop hard muscles. How Should a protein supplement be used in a work out?

I am getting up early every morning to go weight lifting and I would like to make sure that I am doing everything efficiently. I want to start using a protein supplement to build muscle but I don’t know if I should take it before or after the work out. Is it best to use a protein shake? What kind and brand is the best value? I need some good detailed advice.

Your best bet is to use a protein supplent with slow burning carbs before your workout and then immediately after your workout use a recovery combination of ~5g protein and 20g of fast burning carbs. Within 1-1.5 hours of your workout, have your post work breakfast that is high in protien and complex/ natural carbs (fruits).

As far as types and brands, look for whey protein with a very low carb content. There are many brands out there, my personal favorite has been Optimum Nutrition (ON) Gold Standard.

I want to figure out the nutrition facts for some foods Ive eaten at small town shopping center restuarants. I looked up the websites but they dont have nutrition facts on them, and the restuarant didnt have anything listed there. Is there a place or way I can find the nutrtion facts for places like this?

without having an exact ingredient list with amounts it’s not possible to tell. the only way would be to bring the dishes in question to a lab and have them test for caloric content. that’s an awful big hassle to find out the calorie count.
