What is a good nutrition program to lose weight?

Tuesday, June 21st, 2011

I am twenty-one years old and currently weigh 140lbs. I am also 5’4 and a size 8-10 in jeans. I would like to get to 120lbs by Thanksgiving. Is this realistic? I want to give myself a lot of time so I can adapt and not feel overly rushed.

What would be a good nutrition program to adopt? Low carb? High protein? I need a direction to go towards.

From your current height and weight you should be eating around 1400-1500 kcal. But if you want to lose weight, you either need to eat less calories or exercise more. Keep a food journal and calculate how many kcals (calories) you eat each day.

Always incorporate some sort of physical activity in your diet. You not only burn those calories but also rev up your metabolism, so your

As much as it sounds like a cop-out answer, don’t do diets period. It’s about "lifestyle" changes. And make them manageable.

It’s usually healthy to lose up to 2 lbs per week. Because you’re a little bit shorter, you should maybe shoot for 1 lb per week or 2 lbs per 3 week.

To lose 1 lb per week, you would need to cut 500 kcals per day. Because your BMR is about 1300-1400 kcals, thats not a lot of food. So that’s why I would suggest 2 lbs per 3 weeks and shoot to cut and burn about 350 kcals/day. So that would be running/walk 2 miles each day and then cut 100 calories each day. That’s pretty reasonable and not too difficult. That would take about 30 weeks.

A lot of people try to eat a lot less and exercise a lot more and they’re fine for a month or so and then they quit and then they gain the weight back.

Anyway, hope that helps.

What fitness exercises are beneficial for playing Squash?

Sunday, June 5th, 2011

Currently I’m playing squash at a center that also has a fitness area. What fitness exercises are beneficial or could you recommend for playing Squash ? I’d be interested to know also what intensity or repetitions would be good.

In short, what muscles to train in what way ?
Note that I have been playing squash for over 10 years. I’m merely trying to work on specific physical elements of it and I’m wondering through what fitness exercises and methods would help me.

Apparently, it requires strength, endurance, flexibility, hand:eye coordination, developed fast twitch muscularity, arm strength, shoulder strength, proper form to avoid injury. As it is so complicated, I have selected some references for you included below. I would recommend that when you play, you are completely warmed up, wear goggles or eye protectors, and drink water. You can do the regular running, playing other sports, upper body weight training, and practice in your sport on a regular basis.

How long does it take to see results with HGH?

Sunday, June 5th, 2011

Im wondering If i took HGH how long would it take to see physical results. Thanks for your help!

A 500 calorie per day diet is considered anorexic. Mix it with a hormone from pregnant women’s urine and you get a miracle diet!
All over the counter hcg products were announced as illegal and fraudulent by the FDA on January 24, 2011. Testing concluded that all over the counter oral and injection products on the market have little to no real hcg in them but most a similar synthetic hormone. I was in GNC several months ago. They carry three brands of hcg drops and not one of them has any hcg in them. The salesman in fact agreed when I mentioned it. They contain "similar hormones" or amino acids. Sort of like I’m going to sell you this Toyota Prius but it is really a Ford Focus but we’re going to put a price tag on it that says it is a Toyota Prius. Excuse me?
Anyone that lost weight especially with the drops did it because they ate fewer calories than they burned. The hcg acted as the placebo to help them lose the weight.
Next year will mark 60 years since this fraudulent science was started.
The only approved use for hcg is to increase fertility in both men and women.
The doctors exploiting this benign hormone with the ability to prescribe injections can’t even agree on how it works. Some say it releases stored fat calories into the system. Others say it acts as an appetite suppressant. Neither explanation justifies the weight loss in the individuals taking the oral drops with NO hcg in them that still lost weight.
By the way, the expensive "clinical injections" are not covered by insurance since it is not FDA approved. What doctor wouldn’t want to get an "all cash" practice going?
Check out these clips before going further. Just aired a few months ago.

The bottom line here is the exploitation of the law allowing a MD to prescribe an approved drug for a use other than what it is approved for. The FDA will step in someday.

So the question is are you willing to risk your health based on testimonials, not research, and statements from doctors profiting in this all cash business?
