How helpful/effective is the Insanity elite nutrition guide?

April 20th, 2013

I’m trying to get myself to follow the elite nutrition guide to go along wit Insanity. What have your results been like with the nutrition guide? Will I be able to get my six pack and how long should it take? I’ve been doing Insanity for a while now but without the nutrition guide. I feel like a may have hit a plateau.
Using an online calculator I’ve estimated my body fat percentage to be 14%
I think I need under 10% to get a six pack.

Can a 21 year old take a HGH supplement and not have health issues down the road?

April 20th, 2013

im 21 and I want to take a HGH supplement in capsule form…a few people are telling me it can give me erectile disfunction and liver disease a few years down the line like when im 29 30 years old…is this true? or will it be safe if I only take it for a couple of months?

HGH supplements in low-dose, safe-administration forms (like tablets, creams or under-the-tongue forms) are approved by the FDA on the market under the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994. There shouldn’t be side effects if you choose a quality product.

However, the Federal Trade Commission has seen no reliable evidence to support the claim that these products have the same effects as prescription HGH, which is always given by injection.

Can i be a fitness intructor at night and a physical education teacher in the day?

April 15th, 2013

I am planning on majoring in physical education or kinesology to become a physical ed teacher and instruct fitness classes at a gym like Gold’s Gym. So do you think its possible to do both of these because the salary’s together make a good amount and i love those two jobs. Please help. by the way i’m a junior in high school.

Yes. Many teachers I know moonlight due to the low pay. Most I know do tutoring, but I know some who work as fitness instructors (most of them working for the YMCA). One teacher had a small business: he installed swimming pools during the summer. Another teacher built furniture year round.
If you’re the type of person who likes to stay busy, I think you’ll find it very rewarding.

What is the best health insurance carrier for those self employed?

April 15th, 2013

I’m very confused as to finding health insurance since I’ll be self employed soon. Can anyone suggest a health carrier that is easy to get insured and are reliable? Thank you.
I’m really not interested in going online, as have been warned. And I have been online and don’t need a million calls wanting my business. Thanks, but no thanks. I am interested in details and sure information. Like seeing an agent.

A lot depends on your personal situation and what state you live in.

Generally though you will want to stick with a large and trustworthy company like a United Healthcare, Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, etc.

Shop around and compare quotes from at least 3 companies to find the best rate. Here is some more info on some thing you should know when looking for self employed health insurance:

What does it mean when an angle is the supplement of another?

April 15th, 2013

Hello,

I’m a little stuck on a math problem and can’t find the answer anywhere. It would really help if I knew what it meant when one angle is the supplement of another, haha. I have to find x in this problem: The largest exterior angle has the measure x + 8, and the smallest interior angle is the supplement of that angle. It is refering to a triangle.

Please don’t tell me the answer! However If I could get the equation that would be a great help. Thank you!

A supplement is something you add to another number to make 180 degrees. Hopefully it gave you something on the interior angle, because you’d have to add that to the x+8, then set it equal to 180 degrees, then solve for X.

If it doesn’t, then I’d assume that the interior angle is X.

Good luck!

How does my knowledge of nutrition, specifically in observing proper diet, help in saving the environment?

How does my knowledge of nutrition, specifically in observing proper diet, help in saving the environment?
Will my knowledge of correct unit conversion help me become an effective member of society?

An example of a way that nutrition can help the environment is FoodBank. What about getting people to eat fresh foods, cooking from scratch and not buying takeaway therefore reducing the amount of packaging and processing (foods which are also generally alot healthier)?

Not sure about the unit conversion bit?

How do I train and participate in a fitness competition?

April 10th, 2013

I am looking to train and get my body in shape to be apart of a fitness competition. I want to lose more body fat and compete in pageants and stuff like that. How does one get into something like that.

There are fitness magazines in the stores that would give you alot of information about this. The magazines are all about the competitions, the top competitors and what they do to prepare for these competitions. They may even have info on how to sign up for one. Sounds like fun! Go for it!

Can you respond to these counterarguments against universal health care?

April 10th, 2013

1. Universal Health Care will bankrupt America. 2. The government should have less control than they already do over health care to create more competition and lower prices. 3. Health Savings accounts can be viable. 4. There is medicaid for low-income people and medicare and social security for senior citizens; Medicare covers a lot and people might be able to afford what it doesn’t cover. 5. Hospitals don’t turn away patients who can’t afford treatment.

1) Universal health care will aid people’s health meaning they will be more able to work (since without the health care they might not be able to afford necessary health care and thus not be able to work). Further, your statement requires more reasoning.

2) First this is an OPINION point (as shown by the inclusion of "should." Further, health care prices are not very low at this time and unlike things such as gasoline not everybody buys it anyway.

3) They can be viable but
a) it may not be enough
b) the flip side is also possible

4) Medicaid does not offer as much as universal health care would, and there still do exist those that cannot even afford any of those. Further, what about median-income (since those are also a category which is not quite as qualified for medicaid)

5) Yet they do bill you and ultimately you do have to pay

How large is an angle whose supplement contains 12° less than three times its complement?

April 10th, 2013

How large is an angle whose supplement contains 12° less than three times its complement?

The measure of the angle is _____ degrees.

Supplement of angle θ = (180 – θ)

Complement = (90 – θ)

So (180 – θ) + 12 = 3(90 – θ)

180 + 12 – θ = 270 – 3θ

2θ = (270 – 192) = 78

θ = 39º
